Kel McDowell originally hails from Gainesboro, Tennessee. With his roots and background, he has a sincere appreciation for efforts that lead to the empowerment of communities in the Southeastern US.
Previously, he has worked, in different capacities, with the New Energy & Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, & Industry (METI); Major League Baseball Advanced Media; and Mt. Airy, USA, a community development corporation (CDC) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kel is a member of Friends of the Attala County Library, Rotary Club of Kosciusko, and Attala County Forestry Association. He serves on the Board of Directors for both the Oprah Winfrey Boys & Girls Club of Kosciusko/Attala County and the Kosciusko Attala Community Foundation.
After receiving a B.A. from George Washington University, Kel earned his Master of Public Administration with a certificate in Economic Development & Growth from the University of Pennsylvania.
Director of Community Development & Partnerships
G.G. Holmes serves as the Director of Community Development & Partnerships for the Kosciusko Attala Partnership. She is responsible for activities, upkeep, and vitality of the historic district as well as the community. Prior to her current role, G.G. owned a retail store in the historic district, bringing her knowledge of the business to her current position which she has held since 2013. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi.
Operations & Special Events Coordinator
Pati Edwards, a Kosciusko native, is the KAP Coordinator of Operations & Special Events. In addition to logistics, bookkeeping, and a myriad of operational responsibilities, Pati spearheads the annual Natchez Trace Festival and Central Mississippi Fair. She coordinates the Kosciusko Soccer Association for the Youth (KSAY), a community youth program with which she has been involved for over twenty years. Pati and her husband John Allen Edwards are heavily involved parents and grandparents.
Outreach, Multimedia, & Promotions Fellow
Jon Eric Burrell joined KAP in January 2016. In his role, he assists with a multitude of projects, including the organization's websites and social media. He attends Holmes Community College in Goodman, where he majors in business with a focus in marketing. Jon Eric intends to continue his studies at Delta State University.
